Capability

Reporting and business intelligence

Ask the operational record a question and get the answer as a chart, a table or a map.

What it does

Ask the operational record a question and get the answer

Reporting projects usually fail in the same place. The question spans four systems, the joins do not exist, and the answer arrives as a spreadsheet somebody assembled by hand — accurate on the day it was built and wrong a week later.

When the operation runs on one record there is nothing to join. Reporting draws on assets, inventory, workforce, contractors, forms, training, incidents, tickets and projects at the same time, because they were never separate to begin with.

Geography is a filter like any other. Search a map for workforce, assets, inventory or contractors and see what is actually where — before you dispatch a crew, before you buy stock you already hold two counties over.

Questions we get asked

Reporting and business intelligence questions

Can we report across modules, or only inside one?

Across all of them. Because assets, workforce, contractors, forms, training, incidents, tickets and projects sit on one record, a question like “which certified operators are within 50 miles of this site and clear of overdue actions” is a filter rather than a data project.

What does geographic reporting actually do?

It puts the operation on a map. Search for workforce, assets, inventory, contractors or open work by region, site or radius, and see what is where before you dispatch a crew or order stock you already hold somewhere else.

Can we report on workforce demographics?

Yes — participation, hours, training and completion, and demographic reporting where you collect it, which is what most funders, grants and program obligations ask for. Who can see those fields is controlled by role, because the reporting requirement and the privacy requirement are not the same thing.

Can reports be scheduled and sent on their own?

Yes. Save a report, set who receives it and how often, and it goes out without anybody remembering to build it. The recipient does not need to be a heavy user of the platform.

Can we get at the underlying data?

Yes. Every chart drills into the records behind it, and reports export in the format you are asked for rather than the one the software prefers.

Where this was proven

Proven across sectors that share nothing except the problem. Federal and provincial government, municipalities, post-secondary education, a health authority, a business association and three major energy infrastructure programs — running the same platform, configured differently.
